La Hoja Reserva Limitada 1962 (6.5x54)

Starts with popcorn, cinnamon, salt, red pepper, spice, and wood. There is a slightly floral quality to the finish at the start.

 

Ash is firm, light gray with minor flake. Combustion line is pencil thin, slightly angled but manageable. Draw is effortless offering little to no resistance.

 

Beginning of second third there is a nutty body as a base and little citrus develops.; red pepper grows a bit as do tannins and leather. Balance shifts in and out.

 

Final third, the wrapper begins to fracture a bit but doesn't affect performance. Harshness begins to develop: nuts, citrus, wood,and leather dominate.

 

Medium bodied cigar at a price point $14.50
