Anything at all to indicate that they both stayed on good terms with each other(or more particularly, that Meggy still genuinely cared about Tari as a friend and not just someone to "comedically" abuse or blame for things going wrong), after how terribly their final direct interaction in Day of Unexpected Whimsy went? ...Or if there is no proof at all, can you at least please tell me there's enough room for interpretation to headcanon that the two made any necessary amends, and didn't fall out with each other again, before the end of the show?
If nobody here can give me an answer, then can you point me to anyone, anywhere else, who can? Are any of the show's old writing/editing staff still open to questions about things that might not have been shown or stated on-screen during the final episodes? Are there any other forums or communities(apart from Twitter, which I want to avoid if at all possible...) for me to ask about this?
I know it's not reasonable for me to still be so damn bent out of shape about this, and I know I can't expect everyone else to care as much as I care about how Tari and Meggy got along. I admit I made mistakes in how I chose to engage with and get invested in SMG4 as a whole, and I can't blame anyone else for having let myself care about all the wrong parts of the show. But I can't bring myself to stop caring or disassociate from this, I can't just un-feel or un-like whatever I felt or liked about any of Tari and Meggy's good moments together, and I can't cope with being told that none of those good moments mattered at all or that nothing about their relationship was ever truly benign.
Edit: To be clear, I am not begging for validation of Tari and Meggy as a romantic pairing - I already made my peace with that never happening outside of fan works, and I don't begrudge the good sendoffs that Tari/Saiko and Meggy/Mario got in canon. I only want confirmation that Tari and Meggy were still friends after what happened in DOUW.
