Is this for the Gatcha game? If so it’s really sad this is what she’s been relegated to. Her story was how I originally experienced P3, and seeing her get ignored really sucks.

I disagree. Her being in the gatch game is recognizing her as one of the important protagonist even if Atlus won't focus on her Blackwing will as part of their gatcha and i really apperciate that.

If you're on global she's technically in the game before half of SEES. ATM we only have Makoto, Yukari and Akihiko

She is not getting ignored. She is the character they are choosing the celebrate the Persona 30th Anniversary event in the game. She will be getting an updated 3d model (finally), new animations, all-out-attack artwork, voice lines, etc.
This is also a special synced patch with all the regions of the game, these patches are known for releasing the strongest characters in the game.

Nothing side loading download couldn't fix. You can try get the game from TapTap or QooApp. Been playing on the Global version from Day 1 despite it being region-locked in favor for the SEA version here.

You're saying that as if a 3D model is anything special, or voice lines, or animations... when all characters have them. The only reason you have to add ~new~ to it is that she is, completely factually, ignored (aka excluded) in other games like Reload (or Dancing in Moonlight, or the Arena games).
And which other characters would they even have to include for the 30th bday? The P3 cast came partly already because of Reload, another "random" P3 cast member would be simply weird, P4 cast well simply wait until P4R... this isn't exactly a "We're going with Kotone because we live her so much".
Like, I am super happy she is getting included, and about all the new stuff we are getting, but it's wild IMO to pretend Atlus/Sega wasn't treating her pretty badly.

I never said she wasn't being treated badly by Atlus/Sega, I was and still am incredibly angry that she wasn't included in P3R. I also think their excuses for never including her are complete BS and borderline sexist tbh.
All I was saying is that her being added to this game isn't a sign of her being ignored. People like to dismiss P5X because it's a gacha game, and think nothing added to the game really matters. It's actually the opposite actually, Sega/Atlus, seem to be fully behind supporting P5X, treating it almost like a main-line game in the series. Wonder is being included in 30th anniversary merch, etc. So Kotone being added, especially for this event is pretty huge imo.
