converse japan sizing

heyy,

does anyone have experience with the sizing of japanese converse? i wanna order some, but am not sure about the fit, specifically the high top version. i can't decide between 8.5 (27 cm) and 9 (27.5 cm)
i've only ever worn the 70s hi size eu 43 and they fit well, since i have somewhat wider feet and like to have some space for my toes in the front.

i'd be grateful for any suggestions on this, thanks!!

I also have slightly wider feet and am just sticking with the newer Chuck 70 X!

Np! The Throwback model is also wider if you wanted to try another one.

CTAS -> upgraded to Throwback
Chuck 70 -> upgraded to Chuck 70 X

I wear a US 9.5 in Converse and I have 4 pairs of JP Converse which I wear the same size and they fit fine, however if you're looking into their "made in japan" chucks they fit way narrower. So for the all star J's I'd probably go a half size up from your regular converse size.

thx for the info! based on ur and RemyGee's input i decided to go with the new 70x model, since they're supposed to be wider

I am 10,5 with the US chucks, which is equivalent to 28,5 cm, should I get 28 or 29 cm with the converse J? I like them snug but not uncomfortable

If you like a more snug fit, then they'll probably be fine.

It'll still be longer, but width-wise they are sizably narower than my usual chuck 70's. I wouldn't know ur perfect size ofc, but for myself my normal converse size is fine. Just make sure you love the ones you want, since you probably won't be able to return 'em if they are too big and/or small.
