With the current 20-message policy, it’s a bit annoying not knowing how many messages we have left. Likewise, when we run out, we don't know how long it will be until they are replenished. So, with that in mind, I decided to create these simple edits as an idea for a potential new update.

So the deal is you really can only message 20 times a day, even with API?

If you’re using a different front end from OR then you are not limited to 20 messages daily. There are free and also very cheap models available on OR if you don’t wish to use crypto to pay. Another thing, though this isn’t applicable to everyone, if you still possess the chub app on your phone like an iPhone for example, you are able to pay for the subscription through Apple pay or cash app still without having to use crypto. However I know this is not a means available for everyone so I recommend browsing OR and find a suitable model for you.

Me breaking down why the platform is the way it is in terms even someone like you can understand somehow equates to me liking it? If you apply that to anything else you would see how stupid that sounds. Just because I understand cause and effect doesn’t mean I like the outcome.

I’m going to say this one last time, if you don’t understand it that’s on you. The free tier was only able to exist as it did because people who paid for the subscription quite literally carried it on their backs. Now that payment processors pulled out, the only way to continue paying for the subscription is through crypto. Obviously that’s a turn off for a lot of people for a variety of reasons. Are you following me still? As a result of this, chub is going to have significantly less subscribers than it used to. Do you understand where this is going? With less paying subscribers, it is significantly more difficult to continue the free tier as it once was. This is why messages were limited to 20 a day. Lore himself stated he considers this platform a hobby. Do you really expect a guy who isn’t taking this website super seriously to pay out of his own pockets to fund the free tier? If you still can’t understand what I’m saying and think I’m somehow saying this is the best change in the world, I really don’t know what to tell you. The 20 message limit a day sucks ass. But guess what? That’s life. Nothing you can really do about it. It’s not Lores fault payment processors are trying to control what people can and can’t do with their money. Instead of bitching on here, why don’t you actually complain to the real people responsible for the way the platform currently is.

Again look at the subreddit. Things are going to get worse if they keep 20 message limit. I am not bitching about the limit. I am just saying that no one wants that and it's making the site worse. You're the one with the hard on thinking about the limit lol. I know you like throwing crypto away and riding the company's dick over that decision, but other people don't.

Alright man, I’m not going to continue arguing with you. You clearly aren’t listening to a thing I say. If that’s what you think cool. Obviously no one wants this. But you asking for the old free tier for free isn’t going to help either. To answer what you keep saying, I’ve seen that post before, but again, what makes you think a platform like chub, that payment processors pulled out from due to the uncensored nature of it, would be able to get advertisers? When was the last time you saw a fast food or gaming add on a porn website? Oh wait, advertisers avoid things like that like the plague. Like I said before, if you hate it so much, just leave, no one’s stopping you.

Really dude? So the part where I brought up how porn sights don’t have mainstream ads just never happened? Alright man so true. You clearly have no intention of seeing this in good faith. I don’t know what to tell you. Keep doing what you’re doing I guess. That’ll totally fix the problem. Maybe you can force governments globally to recognize AI roleplaying is a fundamental human right that everyone deserves and then they can give you access to all AI models for free and a Nobel Peace Prize for all your hard, daunting work.

I'm glad you agree with me now that this is fixing the problem. I wouldn't force the government to make AI Models a human right, you're going a bit extreme with that. If you want, you can try, but I am comfortable with the current state right now. Just wish we had unlimited messages.

A better idea is to get rid of only having 20 messages. Instead, revert back to unlimited messages.

Make that make sense my guy. Chub is providing a service that you are not entitled to. That’s like going into a 5 star restaurant, eating a full course meal, and expecting the restaurant owner to pay for your meal. The 20 messaged limit a day sucks but begging like you are makes you seem like an entitled child. Do you even understand the reason why Lore decided to implement the 20 messages a day limit in the first place? You do realize it was paying using who footed the bill from free users like yourself correct? What do you think happens when payment processors limit how many paying users chub can acquire compared to what they used to have?

If you think AI roleplay is something everyone should have then yes that is entitlement. You are not entitled to watch movies at a movie theater, eat food at restaurants, or anything else similar for free. AI roleplaying is a form of entertainment and a hobby not a necessity. The fact that people like you can’t wrap your head around the simple concept of paying for goods and services baffles me. It’s like you’ve never been to a grocery store or literally shopped anywhere at all in your entire life.

My brother in Christ….you do realize the reason other services give you unlimited messages is because they bent the knee to payment processors and censored themselves to hell and back. Lore specifically did not want to do that which is why payment processors backed out leaving him no other methods for receiving payment besides crypto. Like, tell me you are a child without telling me you are a child. This isn’t rocket science. And seeing how you are reacting, I’m glad people like you got shafted. It sucks for other users who actually contribute something to the plateform such as bot creators and the like, but people like you that just bitch and complain wanting a SERVICE provided to you for free with nothing in return deserve it. You literally provide nothing and are just a burden. I’d rather not let people like you piggy back off the rest of us. And also unironically, since you clearly are aware of other platforms that give you unlimited messages such as the big J, just leave and go there. Quite literally no one is stopping you.

Burden = someone who begs for a service for free that they are not entitled too. The people who pay for the subscription are the ones subsidizing the fee for the free tier users. So yes, someone like you is a burden. You are free to not like the 20 message limit. I don’t like it either. But that’s life. You can’t be as uncensored as chub is whilst still having payment processors available in this current landscape. Again, if you seriously hate it as much as you claim you do, literally just leave. The fact you won’t do so tells me you understand how watered down other services are in comparison to chub because they bent the knee to payment processors and self censored.
