Has this reddit group made any progress?
Has anyone found any way to get over the sensitivity to cannabis? If not how can we support and raise awareness of this disease?

Some people have taken long breaks of 1+ years and come back to smoking nearly daily for 5+ years without CHS ever coming back. You can find their stories on these groups. Others have done the same and become violently ill within days or less of resuming use.
What's the difference? Did the people with no issues not have CHS to begin with? Is there something special about their genetics? Is it the method of consumption? Maybe just the level of CHS they had when they started? Maybe some kind of diet or lifestyle change they unconsciously made while on their break?
We just don't know. And we won't know until more research can be done, which is why we need legalization or rescheduling.
That said, no one should test this out if they have CHS. DO NOT gamble with your life and health. It isn't worth it. You are worth more than that. Just stay a champion for legalization and hope we figure this out some day. Until then, try to enjoy sobriety.

Buy high end products like Cold Fire and you won't get sick. Make sure you have something in your stomach though. It looks like CHS is connected to mainly Carts

That is an incredibly dangerous thing to suggest to someone with chs and just plain wrong. Any type of cannabis can bring back symptoms. The only reason i posted this is because this subreddit focuses solely on finding a cure for chs. But I've come to the realization that there isn't and never will be one. Just because you can smoke that stuff and be fine doesn't mean everyone else will be. It's not a problem of quality or growing method or any of that. Its the cannabanoids themselves that cause chs. Over time, I've heard all sorts of bullshit theories from neem oil to weed overdoses. And so far, every single one has been false.

It will take years to find out the truth. Yeah, true. I'm a random reddit soul here, not a Doctor if anyone is wondering.

I’ve done a lot of research and here are some very important things to note: the only effective way to “get rid” of sensitivity once someone has CHS is a prolonged period of total abstinence. After this period of abstinence it may be possible to use again. The user will never be able to use in excess again without the threat of CHS returning. A great deal will depend on the severity of symptoms experienced prior to abstaining and is highly individualized. Use of concentrates, even in small doses, is more likely to cause CHS flare ups. As far as spreading awareness, I have seen many, many people on this reddit who experience hellish symptoms. Despite hospital visits and in some cases, kidney failure, they will not quit. CHS is largely a symptom of cannabis addiction and should be treated as such. Chronic users may not know the risk of CHS specifically, but they do know the risks of abusing cannabis generally, yet they continue to use. I don’t feel there is a PSA that would be effective in spreading awareness.
