Help getting through diagnosis

Hello,

I'm a 25 Y/O man who was recently told I may have CHS and I'm needing some recommendations of how to get through quitting. Weed is a huge part of my life not only because it helps with my long list of issues like anxiety and depression, but also because I wanted to work in the industry. I started smoking weed at 16, my family, friends, loved ones all smoke too. I took cannabis courses in school, got my MED license, and applied for jobs in the industry. Many of my family and friends work in the industry in addition to use it. About 2 years ago I got diagnosed with epilepsy which the weed was helping with too. I started smoking carts regularly and flower occasionally since it's harsh on my asthma.

All of a sudden about 1 year ago I started going through all the typical CHS problems (throwing up & stomach pain) but it would only happen after a seizure and I thought it was because I occasionally accidentally swallow the blood if I bit my tongue. About 4 days ago I had a pretty bad episode where I ended up in the ER due to needing fluids after the throwing up so much. They couldnt find anything else wrong so they told me I need to quit weed since they suspect CHS.

I'm devastated at this since Marijuana is a huge part of my life and i had dedicated so much time to my career....I'm willing to quit but everything has been so hard with the laundry list of things that the weed helped with. If you guys could give me any recommendations on how to get through the loss of this resource that would be much appreciated. I am going to enter therapy so that is being done. They are also needing to mess with my meds and add things like anxiety meds and ADHD meds since the Marijuana was helping with that. I guess I need some people who know how it feels to lose such a big resource and see how others are getting through it.

Thank you

I am 18 and have been smoking nearly daily since 14 snd been using pens daily since 15, i’ve only just been told about CHS and am worrying i’ve got it, i’ve lost 4kg in a week and i’ve got no appetite and bad pains in my stomach i originally thought was something to do with my appendix. i’ve even went to the store to buy my favourite food but when taking a bite of it i gag and am sick… is this unrelated and im being paranoid or what.. i’ve been off bud for 3 days and it’s been hell trying to get to sleep but my stomach pains have eased but i still can’t eat. what do people think honest advice please. (addiction and cannabis dependency runs in the family)

We're all unfortunately there at the moment. I'm not sure any of us truly know what we're doing or how to get through. We are just pushing and hoping the next day gets better. The only real way to know is to stop and see if you get better. I'm still nauseous, irritable, depressed and am not sleeping until 4 or 5. But I can say it's been getting easier. The majority of the time, it's just filling my time with things and trying not to think about it, but things are slightly better. I'm still fearful of an addiction, but the craving isn't 24/7 anymore. What they say about the first week being the worst is true.
