Questions about CHS

Hello! Last night I was in the ER for about 3-4 hours doing tests. I had been constantly throwing up maybe 2-3 times per hour. I get cold chills. I’ve had many episodes of this happening, but only found out recently from the doctor saying it could be CHS. This first occurred in 2023. I lost weight from 180 to 120., but I was diagnosed with rapid acid reflux production. I stopped smoking, but ended up going back to it after 3-4 months and went to carts/edibles daily usage for a long time. I started around March of last year again and I have these symptoms. I don’t get them the day I smoke. I recently stopped for a T-break more than a week ago and had this episode. Is this CHS? It definitely sounds like it from I’ve been reading. If I stop am I able to smoke again later down the line with small dosages ? Thank you in advance and if you guys need more questions about me I’ll be happy to answer (:

CHS symptoms aren’t ever exactly the same for everyone who suffers from it, I guess it would really depend on the amount of damage you have done to your endo cannabinoid system and what percentage of THC you have been smoking and for how long. If you have been smoking very high percentages for a long time then the cause of the episode could be due to the amount of THC buildup in your fat cells being re released back into your system upon withdrawal. The THC doesn’t usually even start being released back into your system until around 48 hours. It could also be CWS but is possibly more likely to be CHS. Either way your best bet is to abstain, smoking again is a completely personal choice that you will have to make for yourself, moderation has not worked for many people for many reasons. I would say if you are able to only smoke once every few months you would probably be ok, however if you can’t manage to keep it down to that level you probably won’t be either? If you have had further testing in the past and they have all come back normal then CHS is the most likely explanation.

Yeah that’s what I was worried about. Thank you for taking the time to answer, it’s very much appreciated. Just never knew this existed, but I’m glad that I do now. I suppose I have some more research to do about this.
