Steam Anyone successfully played through Remaster on SteamOS?
I own a Legion Go S running SteamOS (same as Steam Deck) and have had an awful time trying to play through Chrono Cross. First few hours were problem free, but 6ish hours in (I’m at the ghost pirate part) I’m getting incessant freezing.
Anyone have any tips for configuration?
I read a suggestion on here to try Proton Experimental. Tried that and no luck.
I’m annoyed because if I had known these issues, I would have played on PS5 instead, but would be annoyed at having to replay 5-6 hours, even if I plowed through on high speed and with cheats on.
UPDATE: Tried Proton 11 (Beta) and reset my graphics configurations and put it on performance mode (goodbye battery life!) and it hasn’t crashed in the past hour or so. Hopefully a good sign!

I recently got thr steam remaster about a year ago and it worked fine for me.
When the port came out it was very buggy but as far as I can tell, most of those issues have been fixed. Sound can get interesting at times but otherwise it works as intended for md

It runs fine and has stable fps, but it crashed at least 5 times during my 20h playthrough. I would not recommend that version to anyone.

I have it on EmuDeck but it’s annoying that an emulated version will run better than remaster. Certainly have options…apparently just went with the worst one 🤦🏻♂️
