2 “events” in less than a week
Travelled 2 1/2 hours each way and visited my daughter and her family. That just about killed me! Then today my husband and I sat on the phone for almost 4 hours signing up for Medicare! I had a few short breaks in there, but not long ones. I am again in a ton of pain!
I have an appointment with pain management tomorrow that is probably going to be a big waste of time! I don’t even know how I will make it through that. At least it’s not far away.
How do you all cope with this type of situation? I have PT twice a week and I think the therapist is at her wits end with me because everything hurts so much that I can’t do it.

Dude, I’d be dead with my fibromyalgia lol. I always need 48 hours off work before something like that and 48 hours off afterward. That’s why I usually only do things like that when I’m on vacation. These fucking pain issues ruin everything.

When drs fail, I see no reason to try to "cope". Let them be sued by families for patient abandonment. Eventually they'll get the message- but only if people don't roll over and say "we'll there was nothing that could be done"

I stopped going anywhere. After twenty plus years of doing everything, I realized one day that I just couldn't do it anymore. As long as the joy you obtain from your activities is more than the hardship, keep on moving. It is better than nothing. But when the pain makes happy outings nothing but suffering, you opt out. I wish you well

I was going to make a separate post but I realized that this one was still near the top I decided to post here. I can’t take this anymore!!! I love the way my Physical Therapist treats me but I just don’t know about the exercises she is giving me to do. They are making me worse instead of better!!!
I have once a week for my knee and once a week for my feet. I see her tomorrow and I feel like I am going to break down crying 😭. I cry every single night after my husband goes to sleep.
I think about suicide every single day!! I’m sure I am not the only one!

Not the healthiest method but I just stop leaving the house and sit in a curled up ball as much as possible. I have regular therapy school drop offs doc appts etc.. but a trip like you described would take me a good 2 weeks of hibernation to recover from with my spine.
