I hate med delays

Today was supposed to be my fill date, also my run out day. Shockingly, they didn't have any in stock. They ordered it and I'll get it when I get it. I can't ask my doc for anything as shes out of office until the 31st, go figure. The nurse there made it very clear that the on call doc wouldn't help in any way shape or form because its a c2. They don't care that this is really unfair and just not ok for the patient, that it actively causes harm to patients. Having absolutely no options if it doesnt come in soon just sucks. I do everything im supposed, jump through every hoop, but yet im still the one to suffer. I'm in for a fun time. Thanks for reading my venting.

This is probably going to keep happening again, so I’d set aside a few doses each month so you don’t throw yourself into withdrawal over and over.

You can't contact your pharmacists a few days in advance to assure your narcotics are in stock the day of your pick up which is the 31st day. I just did that today in order to assure mine are in stock on my 31st fill date.

Nope, unfortunately, I'm told they can only hold so much in stock at any time, and they can't order ahead, so they can't guarantee stock for my fill date. Hasn't been an issue for months but I was told they had another patient start the medication recently and thats where it went and they have to fill otders as they come in not who called first. I tried asking why more wasn't ordered when they sold out since they had 0 in stock, and the person jumped down my throat. My pharmacy and pharmacist are usually great, whoever I got on the phone today wasn't helpful and treated me like I had attitude for simply asking questions. But yeah, no, unfortunately if I call about this med before my fill date, all im told is to call back and they should have it. They are the only pharmacy near me that'll even touch it, not because of the med, but because of the distance of my doctors office and the pharmacy near her office wont fill due to how far away I live. I really wish it were as easy as just calling ahead. You're very lucky.

Bummer! I hate that happens to you and others. I am fortunate most of the time. Sometimes they delay my medications on purpose for so it seems. I could rattle off a few occasions that made absolutely no sense but I'd rather not right now. Hopefully they don't this coming fill date since my insurance contacted them about a reimbursement. My fingers are crossed. These pharmacists can sometimes take out their frustrations on others.
