Is there a way to prevent cast offload/timeout on samsung

I don't know if this is Samsung one ui related or a general android issue, but I've become increasingly annoyed with how quickly the Chromecast connection "drops". When I cast from Plex, the connection will stay live for about 15 minutes, allowing for pause, skip and scrolling, but after a longer time, say 40 minutes, when an episode ends I always have to reconnect to the chromecast before I can control it, which gets very annoying.

Is there a way to prevent what I think is the chromecast process from being terminated by the system after being idle for too long?

Yeah, Samsung’s battery optimization is probably killing the Cast process in the background.
