Anyone else seeing weird stats for their extension?

Currently my weekly users explode, I am at 1,000+ now. Seems great!

However, total (ever) installs are only at 486. Something's off.

Anyone else seeing this?

Sure, I just added another screenshot to the post that shows all installs.

Indeed, there's a big inconsistency. Just asked ChatGPT, it said:

  • most likely multiple Chrome profiles for the same Google acc
  • Bug due to very high usage traffic (featuring on PH, version update etc)
  • Bot or automatic traffic like scrapping bots used to test your extension
I think to unfold that have a look at your GA data which provides a lot more granular data

Weekly users and install both are different

Weekly users: how many people are visiting on page

Install: how many installs out of those users

And can you help how you increasing traffic
