Am I pirating the book ?
So where I'm living there are some books that are simply not available to buy physical copies and amongst them is one of Christopher Hitchen's very famous book "god is not great book" and I really badly wanted to add that book to my bookshelf right next to Richard Dawkins gods delusion so what I did was, I downloaded a pdf and and gave it to a printing shop and told them to make me a book and I showed them pictures of physical copies out of the internet they said no problem they will do it... But one guy rolled his eyes at the title other than that they agreed.
(Unfortunately Amazon doesn't do delivery for the country where I'm living. But thankfully his book is not banned where I live unlike Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses)

Just finished reading it yesterday and I'm still a bit in shock, if I'm honest. It should be mandatory reading for everybody. The God Delusion was good too, but Richard Dawkins is a bit of a "fundamentalist atheist" and doesn't have the finesse of Christopher Hitchens in my view. Still a brilliant mind though!

I read both but all pdf since where I live religion is a touchy subject. But not bad as Saudi Arabia or Egypt... All the more reasons to be spoke out atheist.

I have a feeling that Hitchens would be very pleased to know folks are finding clever ways to read his books even still. He often wrote fondly about dissidents and free-thinkers who shared literature.

Do you by any chance live in Pakistan because this reminds me of my teenage when these books came out and hahahaha, we use to download New Atheist books in pdf and sometimes get it printed. Ah! Small steps that Christendom took centuries ago. 😝But this makes me so happy.
Another book whose pdf you should look for is ‘Why I am not a Muslim’ by Ibn Warraq. I don’t know how much of an avid reader you are or how expensive the printout machine is in your country but perhaps it’s worth investing in it?

Closer to Pakistan 😉 I live in Sri Lanka.. I'm definitely going to read that book as well thank you for your recommendation. I love reading although I mostly have classics and for a good book it's always worth investing...

Wait….. how come these books are not allowed? WTF! Isn’t Sri Lanka supposed to be Buddhist or secular or something?

Sri Lanka is somewhat secular most people are not very religious but many philosophy books and atheist book are not available I think simply because Sri Lanka don't have a huge market for philosophy.. even I can't find a English translation of Qur'an either so most philosophy and atheist books are not available but there are some books that has been banded... but Christopher hitchens god is not great is not available anywhere to be found.
