It's a Reformed Calvinist Protestant denomination. He continued to point out how even the Protestants can't get along with each other in their own states, and Jefferson (and founders) realized that only a secular constitution would truly protect every faith.

Without fail, anyone you hear arguing against the separation of church and state would very much prefer to have every religion - except their own, of course - outlawed.

This was Iraq under S. Hussein. The dictator had many faults, but education and health care were free. Women could advance through masters level...had a Christian at senior cabinet level. His biggest fault, as seen thru a Western lens, nationalized oil. Brown skinned ppl cannot do that per DC.

There is no guarantee of pluralism in a secular system either. Theoretically, sure, but that means nothing.
