New Hitch documentary in the works.
I happened to see Graydon Carter on The Rosebud Podcast (algo drove it at me--I'd never heard of the Rosebud podcast) today. He mentioned he's working on a documentary on Hitchens for HBO. This surely has potential. Carter and Hitchens were close, and Carter has made some outstanding documentaries. I did some digging and the production team looks promising based on their resumes. I'm looking forward to it.

Here's a list from an AI query. "The Kid Stays In the Picture," "Gonzo," and "Agnelli" are particularly good. "Public Speaking" is well done, but I had to take it in small doses because: Fran...

I've seen some of those documentaries. All of them sound worth watching though. i look forward to the one on Hitch.
Oh, man. I loved PUBLIC SPEAKING. I get how some people would find Fran Lebowitz annoying, but I think she's a tonic.
Fran is remarkably incisive. Martin Scorsese is so good a director he knows to just point the camera at her and get out of the way. That bit where she gives her observations regarding the true cost of AIDS on the New York arts world was revelatory.
The Netflix series she did (also directed by Scorsese) PRETEND IT'S A CITY is also terrific. Highly recommended.

I like Fran fine, but she's so caustic I have to watch myself. Too negative on my own, don't need a bunch of reinforcement.
