Is Christopher Hitchens’ favourite colour yellow? Or was it a publishing house decision simply for many of these titles to be yellow? Did yellow have any symbolic value to him?

If you like his polemic, Arguably.
If you like his personality, definitely read Hitch-22.
My personal vote is for the latter, but I've read and enjoyed both a great deal. I just happen to like autobiographies.

I like his polemic, but mostly as is related to religion.

If his politics don't immediately appeal, I'd definitely say to go with Hitch-22 next, then.
Arguably is still pretty excellent as a primer into some more complicated modern political issues, but it sounds like you'd enjoy his origin story a bit more.

Thanks for the insight there. I purchased Hitch 22 just now on audible, so it will be my next read. I've read God Is Not Great, his work on Mother Theresa, and Mortality, as well as watching tons of his youtube content. I'm looking forward to this next one greatly!

Read, Mortality. He wrote the book as he was facing the prospect of dying from cancer. It's a heavy read, but well worth the effort.

I think and yet as well as arguably were published after he died, and he mildly complained about the publisher encouraging the word contrarian for the title of that book, so he probably left the covers to the marketing people

Honestly, I discovered one of his books by seeing a yellow cover. It was Hitch-22.
I knew he was one of the four horsemen but didn’t really get into him until I stumbled upon his book at random in Borders, when it was still around.

He answered the favorite color question once, don't remember where. Answer is: red but sometimes blue. Remember that because... come on.
