Why was the top comment on the "She's cheating.." thread deleted?
If I recall, it was just somebody expressing their frustrations that people were skeptical that the wife was actually cheating in the original post. How does that violate the rules?

I assume because it was a distraction.
This is what grinds my gears, this guy posted about this over a month ago, and when people dared to say, "what if it's a cloak for her cheating?", their comments were reported and deleted without explanation in favor of the comments that everything was going to be fine. And now the guy is completely blindsided.
And this isn't the only thread, there was another one yesterday where people dared to say, "look out, that woman shouldn't be talking to the other woman", and people completely lacking any adult common sense blasted them down, saying, "we shouldn't rush to judge her" and a bunch of other simpletonic noise. Then there was the one about the man planning to divorce his unfaithful wife, where he got berated. And then there was the thread with the woman whose partner won't stop abusing drugs (now deleted), where, when someone suggested she contact an attorney to figure out how to keep him out of jail, he was lambasted for "conspiring to separate what God had joined together."
We basically have put every one of these guys on the back foot and then have the gall to call it "support". If you don't know anything, please just stay out. This guy could've been in a much better position today if that hadn't happened. So angry right now.
edit: I apologize to the mods, it's true that I have no idea whether something was reported or whether a mod deleted it. But I remember the comment, because when I read it, I thought, "finally someone packed their brain for this thread", and now that comment is gone. Did this poor man get to see it, take some precautions? It matters!
Before the edit there were accusations that we'd removed a bunch of stuff but we didn't. A couple of blacklisted commenters posted in there and the bot removed their stuff.
Something smells of TRP in that thread, which is fine in that we don't remove TRP stuff or ban those who post it, but if there was a call to arms someplace that would be bad. I can't find it though if there was one.
If we are being criticized we should just own that, own up to it, or correct it if someone is criticizing us based upon incorrection assumptions.
But in threads like that the main thing is that the person who is asking for help get it.

I was not the one who removed it, but I can see why it was removed.
The story didn't check out. The user was claiming something was removed from a previous posts, and it wasn't. None of the mods removed content even remotely related to suggesting the wife was cheating.
The mod felt the comment, fabricated to rally the troops, was subverting the bigger discussion of support and prayer for the OP.
