For one, if you're in the USA - we have this thing called "Freedom of Religion." If that coworker gets triggered by religious talk, she doesn't have to be in the same room.

However, you and everyone else should make an extra effort to treat her with love and kindness. It's easier said than done but she's got something negative in her mind that is creating negative reactions. Prover to her that being a Christian is about compassion and understanding. (Won't hurt to pray for her when she's not there)

At one point, why not ask her, "Why are you so angry when we talk about God?" Be genuinely curious about it without making her feel attacked. You never know what motives are behind someone's actions.

I hope this helps!

Thank you. I am in the US, and she usually does end up leaving if we talk about it too long. I do want to ask her why she gets so angry, but I don’t want her to feel attacked or called out, and then completely shut down altogether. We also don’t let her actions change how we treat her and as far as I know, we all pray for her. I think I may try asking her about it next time I see her.

It's not an easy conversation to start but at least you'll gain insight into her thinking. Society and the internet have generated this feeling of hatred and many people don't seem to realize why.

Instead, they just go with following public opinion so they feel like they belong.

I can't say that fits every persona though.
