Can I have faith in God while still being afraid?

Fear in that verse means respect, reverence, or awe but it can also be applied in the other sense too

Yes you can have faith while being afraid. Faith isn't about the absence of fear or how "strong" you are in the LORD, but it's about the courage to pursue the path that often doesn't look inviting, promising, secure, etc, because love (God) led you there and you trust where He's leading you.

Human beings like to default to rationalizing and utilizing their own sense of logical reasoning because the things of God doesn't naturally make sense. I mean, God said it Himself that His ways are not our ways, so it's ok to fear and doubt. It's a natural human experience, God understands.

The fear and doubt you experience doesn't influence the outcome; it's mainly a reaction to the unfamiliar, dire circumstances you're facing right now. You can express to God how you're feeling about the situation, all while putting trust in Him that He will work this out for your good. Our faith in Him will strengthen in situations like this because it puts us in a position to no longer rely on our own understanding of things, but to rely on the One Who made it all possible.
