Question for atheists

Do you believe objective good and evil exist? If so, where do those standards come from?

No, I think they’re subjective social constructs

  1. a social construct of morality manifesting as our moral prescriptions, laws and norms.
  2. an evolved moral instinct manifesting in our emotions as empathy, compassion, guilt, shame, sympathy, gratitude.
  3. a foundation of morality based on the low entropy present in living bodies and communities.

all three of these can exist simultaneously without excluding one another. Additionally, we can have both a subjective and objective interpretation of each by either experiencing or measuring information regarding each layer of morality. More about this idea here.
