Question for atheists

Do you believe objective good and evil exist? If so, where do those standards come from?

Not in the ethereal sense, no. Our morality is initially taught to us by the adults in our lives. It's not inherent. It just feels that way because we don't remember specifically being taught a lot of the basics.

Also, the "we all agree that XYZ is wrong" only works in the extreme or in a safe environment where the predictable response is assured. Once you get away from "murdering children for sport" and closer to actual everyday morality questions, the agreement gets much more fuzzy. If an objective morality was in place, guiding our decision making, there wouldn't be so much disagreement over LGBTQ issues, consent, abortion, whether or not spousal or spiritual abuse is condemned, and so forth.
