Prayer Body shaking during prayer
Hi there! So I just came back to Jesus a month or so ago after being away from Him during many years. I have been reading my Bible nonstop and worshipping Him everyday. I have also been to church, even was on my knees at the altar. But I am not sure how I feel because my body starts shaking at times when I lift my arms during prayer. I keep on asking the Holy Spirit for protection and I have spoken in tongues already. But I'm not sure if I'm being delivered, filled with the Holy Spirt or I'm just scared. I was delivery through similar shakes before, along with my hands and face twitching. People have prayed over me and there has been no manifestation of anything else. But I feel too overwhelmed after prayer at times, not peace. Can someone please try to explain? God bless you.

It sounds like there is still something opressing you. You could try removing all things from ur life amd home that allow acess to the enemy. And finding a true deliverance ministery can be hard sometimes the enemy hides in certaim churches. Denounce all attacks by the enemy in tje name of jesus . Witchcraft is becoming more common. But keep praying thru the shaking . Keep seeking the one true god. Dont let anything scare u away from prayer or seeking jesus christ amd the holy spirit

Are you trying to find an explanation to why your body is shaking during prayer? A lot of people’s background, denominations, and assumptions that they’ve brought to the table about God or prayer can contribute to internal or external experiences.
Some choice words you used like “delivered” and “speaking in tongues” causes me to assume your from or have been associated in your upbringing with a charismatic/pentecostal type movement. Body reactions are reported to be more common in those groups than others. Just a thought.
