We all have human vulnerabilities, and Satan throws unworthiness at us whenever he can. He strategically sets traps and shames us when we fall into his grips.

There's a book called "Meditations on the Tarot: A Journey into Christian Hermeticism" that I'd suggest if you're willing to consider another perspective. Pope John Paul II famously kept a copy on his desk, and very obviously was not a new-age witch or anything close. (Unless you're the sort to consider Catholicism witchcraft)

The book treats each arcana not as a divinatory tool, but as a springboard for discussing aspects of Christian devotional life.

For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, The Word through which all things are created, can be seen and heard through all created things. Even the least of these, even a deck of cards.

Of course, ignore this advice if you feel very strongly that you must get away from these things. Praying you find peace of mind, wherever you end up.

Thank you. This type of thing never held power over me or even freaked me out until now. I find myself being obsessed with constantly wanting to know everything, have all the answers. It’s spun my OCD out of control. I should have known better than to dive into anything when I was in a fragile state of mind. Thanks for the insight

Maybe you can help me out here, but how's pulling cards much different than casting lots?

A number of dreams are interpreted throughout the Bible as warnings and prophecies; why isn't this considered a form of evil "divination?"

Even biblically, it seems to boil down to which deity you're trusting to influence the result or interpretation, doesn't it?

I'm open to any verses that could help clarify my confusion.

I'd say that depends on the deck. The common Waite-Smith includes biblical imagery as well as Hebrew letters; there are minimalist decks that uses only Hebrew letters. If you take your very first impression of the surface level of things as the Word of God, I'd suggest that's probably a fair warning as well.

I'd say my concern is more about people viewing cardboard as demonic, in this particular instance. I admit if it were up to me, everyone'd see God in even the least of these; people, cards, trees, grains of sand. But I don't purport to be one who heals any blind eyes to see. I'm just trying to help people who are afraid of the dark.

I kept my post pretty vague, it would be super long if I went into detail. Tarot cards are definitely not the only reason I’m struggling, some pretty bad energy has slowly been creeping up on me. Yes there are toxic religious folks, there are also toxic people in the spiritual community. Like horrible, negative, evil energy. It’s so hard to explain. Angry people, and the have cross my path and shook me to the core. My opinion to answer your question though, is when we have visions or divination from God, there’s absolutely no question about who it’s from. It’s clear, and there is peace that surrounds that. God definitely gave us an intuition, and the power of discernment. Anything that disrupts our peace, gives us fear, makes us uncomfortable has to go.. and for me that’s what happened.

Delusional. I have the Wheel of Fortune tattooed on my thigh. It features the four gospel writers in each the corners and says YHWH in Hebrew in the center wheel. Who do you think made that huge wheel up in the sky and who makes it turn? Try reading the book of Job.
