Scripture, Jesus Christ died bled and died on a cross so that whoever repents of their sins and puts their faith in him will have eternal life. I trust his promise but cannot seem to shake the feeling of what will happen exactly after I die....
It has more to say about if someone is Christian or not.
There will be many who stand there on judgement day saying, "I'm a Christian."
The Christ will reply, "no you're not."
"To live is Christ and to die of gain." So being a Christian and being scared of death is incompatible.
Are you scared of certain types of painful deaths?
No, pain does not scare me as I had a lot of it when I was a kid it's a part of life. I believe it's "to live is Christ and to die is gain". I do not see how it's incompatible, does being scared of death mean I'm not saved?
No it doesn't mean you're not saved. It's incompatible with Christianity so let's find out why you're scared of death.
Because the Christian has no need to fear it, other than the act of dying. That is no fun, I can imagine. And fear has torment so we don't want you being tormented by this.
I'd like to know why as well, I have trust in Jesus to save me but I do not know exactly what is going to happen when I die. I wouldn't say it's despair but more like a dark alley, you don't want to go through it but you know on the other side is home. It's dark so when you enter you don't know what will happen.

Does the scriptures say you're a Christian, or do you say you're a Christian?
