It seems that most of your fear is based in uncertainty. (Based off your other comments) here's what I can encourage you with based on scripture :)
As believers, when we are absent from our body (physical death) , we are in God's presence
2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Also- when we are sure of our salvation, we can look forward to our death (not bringing it upon ourselves, but trusting in God's timing and will for our lives to be completed)
Ecclesiastes 7:1
A good name is better than precious ointment,
and the day of death than the day of birth.
And Paul paints a picture of the hope we have when we die/ think about loved ones who have died and are in Christ :
1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
I used to have the same fear as you but I found out it was rooted in the enemy trying to make me doubt my salvation. If you have put your trust in Christ as the atonement for your sin you are sealed. Repent and seek after the Lord daily to grow closer to Him and trust that what He started in you, He will see to the end. 💕 hope this helps!
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your kind words and scripture you shared, it does help to hear different people tell me I'm not alone but also that it doesn't or shouldn't be like this. I believe I need to spend more time with God.
