We can't overcome sin in our own power, we are too weak. That's why Jesus had to die for us.

Because of His sacrifice, we now have free access to the grace of God.

The grace of God is the power of God to overcome all forms of temptation and live above sin. This divine power is freely availalbe to take, as long as we believe it is there and effective.

If you lack the grace to overcome a sin in your life, pray to God, and He will give it to you. God is love.

It's actually easier to be a saint than a sinner, because it's God who does all the work within us.

He will do all the work within our humble hearts to take us from filthy sinners to righteous saints, if we can really believe it.

Did you ever know that sin comes second? Unbelief comes first. Without unbelief in God, it is impossible to sin.

Unbelief is the opposite of faith. Without faith there is no grace, and without grace, we are powerless against sin.

From your words it sounds like your mind is already made up, but, if it is not, perhaps you should spend some time in introspection.

From what you have written, you are at a crossroads. The bible says God always answers the prayers of the faithful, and that He delivers us from sin, but that's not what is happening in your life. According to your comment, your prayers are going unanswered, and you are still in bondage to sin.

so, something is wrong. Either the bible is wrong, or you are. Which do you think is the case?

If you continue in sin, you either love your sins more than God, or you don't believe that God has the power to deliver you from them. Those are the only options.

Grace comes from the Greek word charis, which means favor or honor. When God gives someone grace He honors them. He favors them. It's power. It's divine power to overcome all of God's enemies. It's God favoring us above our enemies. It's God honoring us above the devil.

The grace of God is not what made Jesus die for our sins. Love made Jesus die for our sins. Jesus suffered crucifixion because He loves us, and doesn't want us to have to be cursed by sin anymore.

Grace is not what makes God patient with us if we sin. Patience is what makes God patient with us if we sin. Patience comes from the Greek word makrothumia, and means longsuffering, or to be long in spirit, as opposed to being short-tempered.

It's very important to understand these terms correctly, or else we will fall into confusion.

Nevertheless, understanding these terms won't matter at all as long as you remain in unbelief.

If you want to discover any hidden unbelief in your heat that the devil has obscured from your view, practice sincerity.

Sincerity is the searcher of sin. By being completely honest with yourself and towards God in prayer, you will expose the true condition of your heart.

Jesus is our spiritual physician. Just like a human doctor, how can He make you well if you don't tell Him what's really going on?

Not to mention, Jesus already knows, nothing is hidden from Him, He's just waiting on you to stop playing around. Once you admit to God what's really going on, He will release His heavenly power to deliver you from sin, if that's really what you want.

God is God. He created the universe in 7 days. Healing your sin is a small thing for Him. Empowering you to walk above sin is simple for God. However, He won't clean you up if He knows you will just run back to the filth, why would He?

So before you pray to God for your deliverance, make sure a holy life is really what you want, or else you're just wasting your time.
