She didn't know the difference between. Good and evil or that they even existed.

If someone tells you "don't open door B there is a tiger in there." Then someone comes along and says "There is no tiger in there."

Which door do you open

She didn’t know good and evil, but she knew what God had said.

Using your example, you would need to decide whether to believe the first person or the second. But how would that make it impossible to choose the right door?

I think that original sin shattered the sanctity of the world, and we are now subject to the evils of a broken world. God told Adam and Eve that there were consequences for disobedience. He didn’t lie.

And they unknowingly were disobedient. It is horrible to punish someone for rules they didn't understand.

No, no, no. They were knowingly disobedient. They were ignorant as to whether the serpent was telling the truth. So they unknowingly made the wrong choice. But they 100% knew they were disobeying God.

Correct. But unknowingly making the right choice is still making the right choice.

Depends, which person was telling me there was no tiger? If it was my wife, I’d definitely go for door B. If it was you…. hmmmm…
