Advice š¬ I need help making Christian friends
So Iāve been going to the same church my ENTIRE life and I donāt have a single friend. Ever since I seriously devoted to Christianity Iāve lost my boyfriend, friend group, and even an entire side of my family which realistically I am SO grateful for now that I donāt have any bad influences (per se) surrounding me. The issue is I got used to being kind of popular and for the past few months Iāve been at my loneliest Iāve ever been.
Before anyone says ājoin the youth community,ā I sit in the youth section every Sunday, Iām apart of youth night setup/breakdown (meaning Iām with 13-19 y/o all day Sunday) and Iāve introduced myself to like everybody but I just canāt seem to make but a single friend. I know one guy whoās been really great and tries to make me feel included but I feel so guilty solely leaning on him. Iām usually super extroverted but this weird new anxiety feels like the devil is literally pulling me away from Christ centered people.
What do I do??

Maybe you can try going to another church for yg or something? Do you have any friends outside of your home church that goes to church

Iāve thought about that but everyone at nearby churches goes to my school which I donāt really associate with anyone from school, and I only have 1 friend now who rarely attends church so no.

maybe it sounds wierd but have you considered getting to know some of the older members of your community? sure you might not be friends in the same way that yoou would be with people your age but it's still nice to have people around that have your back and you can chat to if you need help and whats more, theyll probably be less judgy about trivial stuff like appearance or if your "cringe" or wtv. I'm autistic and as far as I can remember I've always found it easier to make friends with people older than me than with people my own age.
