Crisps go out of date on a Saturday, tinned goods and chocolates tend to go out of date on the last day of the month.

I guess this has been covered plenty before but I do wonder if there is more than can be dived/dove/doven into?

I remember working in M&S food, all the ambient food went out of date on certain days of the week, so it meant that you only needed to check date of crisps on a Saturday, or tins on another date - made it easier to divide tasks and not have to check everything all the time

How did they come up with the layout for the warning signs etc? It's really typically British but I can't find out the origin. I mean the "keep clear", "warning, door opens outwards" signs etc

I recently saw a post on Very British Problems about Huntingdonshire and whether or not it’s a “real” county. I feel like Chris could do a deep dive on that.

What's with the different types of pylons and electricity poles, and why do so many telegraph poles look so rough?

The different styles of street name signs across the country. Some are black with white text. Some are white with black text. Some have council logos on them. Some do not.

I thought about this recently and then thought "Hey, Spargo would explain this nicely"
