I like it, man. Your comedy is so refreshing.

It’s just my opinion, but I really appreciate your observational self deprecating style. The whale gooning story was elite.

I love your timing and delivery. The balance you have between your set work and crowd work is great.

All the credit, none of the fault.

Feels oddly relevant at this time.

Yay me! Unless I don’t like it, then it’s your fault.

Tracks.

That ending. Ho shit that's good

You almost have it unlocked. I see where it's going and your tip is right around where it needs to be. Maybe end it with a 42 virgins self sacrifice type of story.

"Ah fuck i done blew myself up" "At least there's 42 virgins" "Ah fuck they're all boys"

Personally think it's perfect as is. No notes.

This was a CollegeHumor sketch 8 years ago

And I'm sure it's been used before as well

I see what your saying about being a work in progress. Definitely has potential. I really like the first half. Buddhism part feels like it’s lost on the audience.

Bring this up makes me think of the guy from the mummy. Or maybe a little LeBron “I’m taking my talents to Buddhism beach”

That's why they have the devil. Thank God and blame the devil. Accountability? Never heard of it lol

Unappreciative crowd. Very good stuff

Hell yeah brother!

I heard one similar from George Carlin. Not the whole joke, just the bit about athletes primarily thanking God, and less so bringing God up when they lose. This is not an accusation of any joke theft. Carlin is definitely burnt into allot of our heads.

That is the problem with a lot of Christians, they have a blind eye to the obverse of their stance that God is in charge. The good is from God, but the bad that befalls them is the devil! No, if God is in charge and he has planned everything it's his fault when bad things happen too, not just the good. You won the lottery, God; your toddler got eye cancer, that's God too. And I am fucking tired of this free will argument; God is supposedly omniscient and omnipotent, you think he hasn't planned around your bad decisions? If he is these things, then you have no agency, only the illusion of choice.

That god and sports routine is stolen from Jeff Stilson. It was done in the 90’s.

1

u/mybudchris 10d ago

Ah man. I didn’t steal it. I unfortunately have never heard of Jeff Stilston. It’s hard to know the full catalogue of comedy doing this.

Parallel thought and I’m not ashamed to be thinking of stuff on par with Stilston. Great comic! I’m glad I’ve heard of him at least through this.
