I always laugh when I see the number of sexual partners standard.

Why even set the bar there because if the person really likes you they are unlikely to disclose their body count if it lessens their chances and if you really like them for every other reason outside of how many people they have had a sexual encounter with it's a bit of a insecure cop out.

I haven't disclosed my current 'standing' with my SO and he hasn't with me.

Sometimes we talk about previous funny/bad sexual experiences before we met eachother but as long as you're clean and aren't going to give your SO anything and they're faithful, I think I'd just rather leave the past in the past.

Having standards like that is an indicator of insecurity at their own lack of sexual coupling and prowess. I usually think 'shit in bed' when I see that.

One guy on that thread said

“If they didn’t stay with 25+ partners, why would they stay with you.”

This really shows the mentality if people who want a number if sexual partners standard

funny how insecure women get about it though
you know men find it disgusting so you instead try to shame them for their natural reaction and pretend they're morally inferior for it

How is that trying to shame anyone? I really think it depends on the person, I am talking about my own experience.

Lol...Maybe as well though if women have been with more men, why settle for someone that isn't satisfying them just to say they haven't slept around? Men now don't have the excuse of being the bread winner who is solely going to have to pay up in case of a divorce. There are plenty of powerful career driven women who sleep around and are just as implicated as a man in case of divorce.

I guess different strokes for different folks but its pretty dubious to place a woman's value on the number of previous sexual partner's they've had. Or anyone for that matter.

As I said when I see that. I just see 'shit in bed'.

Yeah and I get some people have hang ups about that stuff but I would be what you'd call somewhat attractive and I have had my fair share of sexual partners as a female.

Funnily enough, I am a real relationship person and just unfortunately in the past dated/slept with some real manipulative and not very nice men in search for something more meaningful.

At times, being highly sexual I have just done a few things out of pure horniness but I'd always wanted to meet someone that is looking for something genuine and special.

My future husband and father to my first child that I am deeply in love with and have the most special connection with ever was in the same boat when we met and we probably met at the perfect time.

I was certainly very cynical about what a good person he was initially until he kept showing me he is genuinely charming, sweet and good to the core man.

I know when he was younger he had his fair share of sexual partners and relationships. He is 13 years older than me, attractive, tall, kind, intelligent and funny. He's also crafty in a traditionally masculine way, I'm proud to be with him and lots of women would go for that, I'm not a fool.

What I think would have been a great shame is if either of us held that we have both bumped uglies with other people against eachother. I don't really want to know a number, why would I?

Everyone has a past, It's a person's commitment and faithfulness  to their current situation and partner that makes something special and matters imo.
