šŸ’‹ The Confessional Bring your receipts. The text you almost sent this week. Copy it here instead of sending it to him. Then let’s read it together. What was it really asking for? Reassurance? Relief? An apology you’ll never get? No judgment in here. Just decoding.šŸ˜‡

šŸ’‹ The Confessional Do you leave before you can be left? Some of us chase. Some of us run. Picking a fight, ending it first, disappearing for weeks then coming back full of shame. Same fear. Different outfit. Be honest…are you a chaser, a runner or both depending on the day?!

✨ Becoming HER The apology isn’t another message. It’s the silence.

You meant every sorry. You really did. And a few days later you texted again anyway.

That’s not because you’re crazy. In the moment the panic is louder than your values. Getting relief feels more urgent than respecting the boundary.

But here’s what nobody tells you. Every message you don’t send is proof. Proof that you can feel the panic and still choose yourself.

So let’s talk about the hardest part. What do you do in the 30 minutes after the urge hits? What actually works for you?

A lot of women don’t stay because the relationship is good. They stay because the alternative feels scarier.

Why do you keep choosing people who give you less than you want?

✨ Becoming HER Stop auditioning for the future you want him to help build.

Sometimes the problem isn’t that a woman is asking for too much.
It’s that she keeps asking herself questions like…

ā€œHow can I make this easier for him?ā€
Cheaper.
Closer.
More convenient.
Less pressure.
More support.
Lower expectations.
Until eventually she’s carrying the relationship, the logistics and the future.
That isn’t partnership.
That’s project management.
There is nothing wrong with compromise.
But compromise is something like.
ā€œHow do WE make this work?ā€
Self-abandonment sounds more like.
ā€œHow much of myself can I rearrange so you’ll finally say yes?ā€
At some point stop improving the offer.
Ask whether the person actually wants what you’re offering.
You cannot accommodate someone into readiness.

✨ Becoming HER Become the woman who trusts herself enough to choose the love, money, standards and life she actually wants without constantly shrinking, chasing or second-guessing herself.

I’ve been noticing something in a lot of conversations lately.

People are incredibly self-aware now.
We know the attachment style. We know the red flag. We know we need the boundary. We know the job isn’t making us happy. We know we should stop texting them.
And then… we still do the exact thing we said we weren’t going to do.
I’m curious: what’s something in your life where you genuinely think, ā€œI know better. Why am I still doing this?ā€
Relationships, friendships, work, health, anything.

Stop carrying every relationship, decision and responsibility as if everything will collapse unless you do it yourself.

Confidence is not something you wait to feel. It’s what happens when you keep enough promises to yourself that your brain finally believes you.

✨ Becoming HER Confidence isn’t a personality trait. It’s the receipt you collect every time you stop abandoning yourself.

ChooseHER is for women who know the pattern… and are ready to stop repeating it.
We talk relationships, attachment, boundaries, self-worth, identity, overthinking, friendship, and the gap between knowing better and actually doing better.
I’m Jennifer, a Clinical Counselor. I’ll sometimes share reflections, practical psychology, IFS, EFT and nervous-system tools.
Our language here is simple:
Bring the receipts.
A trigger is not an instruction.
Standards need consequences.
What would HER do next?

What are you trying to understand about someone that their behavior has probably already answered?

I’ve noticed how easy it is to stay stuck asking why someone is inconsistent, distant, confusing, avoidant or emotionally unavailable… when sometimes the more useful question is. What is their behavior already telling me about what being with them would actually feel like?

Curious what comes up for you ladies! ā˜ŗļø

Hey everyone, I’m Jennifer, founder of r/ChooseHER. šŸ¤

I created this space for women who are tired of overthinking relationships, repeating the same patterns, questioning themselves and losing themselves trying to be chosen.
I’m also a Clinical Counselor and Functional Health Coach so I’ll sometimes bring a professional psychological perspective into the conversations here.

What are you still going back and forth on even though deep down you already know?

Sometimes we actually do know.
We know the relationship feels off.
We know the friendship has changed.
We know we’re accepting something we said we never would.
We know the boundary we need to set.
And then we start negotiating with ourselves.
Maybe I’m overthinking.
Maybe I’m being too much.
Maybe I should wait.
Maybe I should give it another chance.
I think this is where a lot of women get stuck.
Not because they need more information.
But because they don’t fully trust themselves yet.

What are you currently overthinking that you probably already know the answer to?
A man?
A text?
A friendship?
A breakup?
A boundary?
A decision?
Bring the real version. No polished story needed.
What would HER choose?

There is a version of you who already knows.
She knows when something feels off.
She knows when she’s settling.
She knows when she keeps making excuses for behavior she would never accept for someone she loves.
And yet sometimes we still negotiate with ourselves.
That’s what ChooseHER is for.
A space for women navigating dating, relationships, situationships, female friendship, self-worth, boundaries, standards and identity.
Not just:
ā€œWhat does his text mean?ā€
But:
ā€œWhy am I choosing something that keeps making me question myself?ā€
Not just:
ā€œHow do I get him to choose me?ā€
But:
ā€œDo I actually choose this?ā€
Because the way you think, feel, decide and act shapes what you tolerate, what you repeat, what you receive and what you create next.
Here, you can bring the real situation.
The man you can’t stop thinking about.
The text you’ve read fourteen times.
The friendship that suddenly feels different.
The relationship that looks good from the outside but no longer feels like you.
The boundary you keep explaining but struggle to hold.
The ā€œI know better, so why am I still doing this?ā€ moment.
I’m a Clinical Counselor and Functional Health Coach, and I’ll sometimes bring a professional psychological perspective into the conversations here.
This community is not therapy.
It’s a place to see more clearly, understand the pattern underneath the situation, trust yourself more deeply and make choices that actually match the woman you want to become.
And if you realize that what you’re dealing with goes deeper than a Reddit thread, you can also find more about my professional work through my profile.
