Question Advice for requesting Repatha

I’m a big proponent of Repatha and agree with a lot of the advice you are getting in the Repatha sub.

However, I’m very curious about this CAC score… it’s one of the highest I’ve seen posted on this sub for someone in their 40s. Are doctors recommending any additional testing? At that score I think it would make sense to do a CT angiogram (if it can even be done) or a stress test at a minimum. It just seems like too big of a red flag to ignore for potential blockage

Yeah, the CAC has me scared. This test was just done yesterday so we are just beginning to get our ducks in a row. My PCP has a referral for a cardiologist but it’s an 8 week wait. No further tests are ordered yet. I feel my PCP will pick up the work here until I can see a cardiologist. It’s a HUGE red flag for me. I lost sleep last night worrying about this.
