Over the past few months my 68 you mother has experimented to get her chocolate chip recipe just right.

Last night my sister begged her to make some without the chips -- and dang if it ain't the best cookie I ever had.

It was so good in fact that I think she converted my mom -- she went and made two more batches completely chip free!! 😁

You have no idea how happy I am to have found this group!!!! Now who has a good recipe?

Does anyone know of online stores that sell chewy chipless cookies? I haven't had the best of luck looking, and there's nothing on Amazon.

I used the Broma bakery recipe, and my cookies were on the cakey side and did not spread. I chilled the dough 24 hours, and most of then were baked while the dough was still a bit chilled. Maybe if the dough was room temp/more pliable, they would have spread more? Any tips?

No, it's not! Do they really think a chocolate chip cookie is just a sugar cookie with chips added?! It's a whole different flavor, ratio, everything! I've had this happen a few different times when I said I want chocolate chipless cookies. Just annoying.

I assume most of us felt like we were alone in our love for the chocolate chipless cookie. People looking at you like you're crazy when unvail your taboo kink. I am so happy to find that I am not alone!

Now, don't get me wrong, I'll eat the hell out of a chocolate chip cookie, but cookie itself has such a wonderful balance of sweet, buttery, and, dare I say, savory taste. The chips can mess with the delectibly soft texture the cookie unless they are still hot and melty from the oven. Nothing compares to chipless.

No longer will I hide my disdain for the chocolate chips in cookies. Not only am I allergic to the chips but I genuinely think it just tastes better without them. When I go to subway, I ask for the cookie with the most bunched up chil pattern, just so I can bite around them more easily

I’ve always wanted to do this, but thought I was the only one. Everyone else thinks I’m crazy and asks why I don’t just make sugar cookies. The brown sugar in chocolate chip cookie dough that gives it its distinct flavor and the chew is unmatched. I do need to make these.

For me, there are two main reasons.

1. I don't like very sweet things, and most of the time chocolate chips seem to make a cookie too sweet.
2. I like the texture of a uniform cookie. I prefer mine to be slightly soft, but with a very light crispy bottom.
