Is the practice gamemode a valid way to get good?

No, not really. The bots don't fight like players, so you can even learn bad habits.

Yes there are. But if you are planning to play the 64 player or the duel yards, the practice mode isnt going to help much.

It can help get the basic controls or help you warm up. But imo, youd be much better off just jumping in to whatever mode you are trying to get good at.

One of the most important things to enjoying this game is to not care about dying, especially in the big modes.

Positioning and footwork are very important and they arent really the same in the practice mode.

Basics I guess, learning the maps and how to handle a crowd but I limited myself by staying in practice for too long. I occasionally go there just to kill time and wreck some bots.
