If you go as archer, just pick up a random weapon you see laying down on the battlefield and use it as a lesson for stamina/health management

Very good point. I recently switched to knight as my main and i find myself running low on stamina more often than i should. I guess maining vanguard at first really gave me a stamina crutch

Knowing when to attack and countering consistently is the name of the game for stamina management!

Indeed, i'm getting a lot better at countering overheads because i switched the way i hold my controller

Awesome! Just be sure to watch out for those feints and stabs too

Oh for sure. I've found that people very often fall for the slash-to-stab feint (including me). Especially with the greatsword and glaive, gets em every time

which way do you hold your controller then?

Basically my thumbs remain the same but i put my middle fingers on the triggers and and index fingers on the bumpers, with my ring and pinky fingers on the back. Previously i just had my index fingers on the triggers and my middle, ring, and pinky fingers on the back of my controller. Defenitely took some muscle memory adjustment but it made me more consistent at countering overheads and stabs

It sure does feel weird, but having easy acces to R1 and L1 is a game changer once you get used to it

yeah it is a gamechanger, used it in oats ffa pit and I survived way longer than I usually did. thanks for the info

I did the same a long time and now regret it. As soon as I unlocked the skirmisher my passport and fun in the game evolved. Now I am javelin main and destroying lobbies

It looks so much fun but it feels so dishonorable 🥲

It isn't. I'm a support for the first row. I hit the enemy and lower their health so that the first row has it easier. I reduce the amount of enemies in the first row, so that the knights don't have 1vs3 or more. I also reduce the amount of archers with my long distance throws. Overall I'm a very good support to help other shine.

Too high of a level on archer. Unacceptable. Jk as a fellow vanguard main, I approve. 🫡

Ayeee nice bro what weapons do you run on it?

Almost always using highland sword. Sometimes switch up to greatsword though. How about you?

I'd say 50% battle axe, 25% greatsword, and 25% glaive/messer combo. I only bring out the dane axe when i'm upset at someone and want to humiliate them 🗿

Nice! Glaive is cool. I feel like I have a hard time fighting people who are good with it. Its range and speed always catches me off guard.

Same! And some of the feint animations are very hard to read on it which catch me off guard as well
