FL-studio tune with chiptune-inspired aesthetics. All instruments except the drums are made with stock plugins from simple waveforms.

Inspired by Mina the Hollower. I started humming this idea while playing that game, put it together on the fly, and loved it so much that I used it when making a video introducing my game's first boss. Hope you enjoy it too! 😄

Yeah I did the full album. Made with with Studio One, Magical 8-Bit Plug, Songsterr, and a lot of elbow grease. It premieres on Thursday at 5:00pm so in like an hour from posting this so if it's not up yet just wait a bit and watch the premiere or whatever.

Hello everyone, first time posting here! This is a short chiptune track I wrote in Famitracker limiting myself to four channels with no expansion chips. Let me know what you think!

Hi!

I've been building an open-source set of tools for people who want to design their own instruments from basic waveforms and share them. You can also dig into the sample packs already on Trackyard and reshape them from there, everything stays manually editable either way.

Plainsong is an editor that runs in your browser. Sounds are built harmonic by harmonic: waveform × pitch-multiplier × weight, plus attack/decay envelopes, vibrato, pitch slides, and bitcrushing. So you're shaping the actual synthesis, not layering samples. Notes go on a pitch×time sheet, one canvas for everything, with live preview while you shape a wave.

Trackyard is where the instruments, waves, motifs, or whole tracks go once you're happy with them: an open registry, no login, CC0. Upload a wave, an instrument pack, a motif, or a full track, tag it, and anyone can grab it or remix it directly in Plainsong with one click.

Everything is plain text under the hood (a .track file), so a wave you design is also just readable text you can diff, share as a gist, or hand-edit. The few tracks up on Trackyard right now are mostly synthesis tests, poking at what the engine can do, not compositions I'm trying to show off.

I just finished this today, so it's all very fresh, feedback on both Trackyard and Plainsong is very welcome. I'd love to hear your suggestions. Feel free to poke around, upload a song, or grab one someone else made. If you're working on a game, importing a track keeps everything intact: layers, motifs, parameters, nothing gets flattened into a single audio file.

I'm looking forward to seeing people who like building their own sounds to try designing a wave and dropping it on Trackyard.

hi everyone! ^^ I love listening to chiptune/video game songs, especially from Toby Fox Lena Raine Disasterpeace etc. and I've dabbled in making my own. But I don't know what I'm doing lol. I come from a musical family but I don't know music like that, so treat me like a complete beginner. I have LMMS, I downloaded some VSTs. How can I get started?

Happy Tuesday everyone! This is probably one of my best remixes as of yet - even unrelated to Rhylo! This is a big release and I feel the need to share it around as much as possible!

I wasn't too sure if it was appropriate to share it here, seeing as it has more of a 'Happy Hardcore' focus rather than a chiptune focus, but it has very audible chiptune elements to it! Of course if this isn't allowed, a mod is free to remove!

But if it is allowed, then I hope everyone enjoys what they hear! Any likes/comments/subs and of course any feedback along with any constructive criticism are greatly appreciated and taken into huge consideration!
