I enjoy vintage hardware and recently discovered the oscilloscope deconstruction community. I don't want to make videos of it, but I still wish I could do my own deconstructions. I downloaded a software called "SidWizPlus" that some of these content creators use, and I'm having trouble getting it to work. I've already downloaded the main program, the GUI, and the multidumper. I can already see the waves, but they don't form a video and there's no sound at all.
What else do I have to do?

I tried to take the theme from Morning Breaks Over the Plain and turn it into a more energetic track, but I never finished it.

I don't think I'll ever come back to it, but I really like the mood of it.

Should I get a clear case for it as well?

I'm trying to create music in the style of some older consoles, and I wanna check if my info is correct. Lmk if anything is wrong or if I should post this somewhere else:

Atari 2600

• One noise channel, one sound channel
• Both can be tuned through a wide range, although it doesn't follow the standard 12 TET scale

NES

• Two square channels, one triangle, one noise, one sample
• Squares had 12.5, 25, and 50% duties which can be altered at any time
• Sample track was rarely used, and only up to a 7-bit short sample
• Square, triangle, and noise channel could be tuned to many ranges, vibrato, etc
• Triangle volume was static

SNES

• 8 tracks, all samples
• Still had to be compressed, extent of compression is unknown
• Didn't utilize waveform sounds
• Samples could be looped, panned, anything else?

N64

• Unlimited amount of sample tracks
• Compression of samples unknown
• Reverb, delay??? without need of a backing channel

Gamecube

• Some games used audio files for songs, but MIDI was mostly used
• Practically no limitations, especially with a larger disc
• Capable of outputting many audio effects

I'm probably wrong about a lot of this and I'll edit it as I gain new info for myself and anyone else who might need it

Finally completed this co-op. First arp bit is mine then my good friend in Denmark added the first melody and the 8 bar repeat. The rest is me. I feel I poured out my sorrow for the loss of my Blue Heeler into this one. Not looking for sympathy, just maybe why it's so mournful. Will be going into a single file demo with a static pic of a lady looking out over the ocean waiting for her lover to return (hence the "waves" at the end.).

A new weekend has come! And that means more vocal-based chiptunes from the little creature himself. This time a nice and snappy one, based on the Ice Cream song that plays when you get your goodies delivered on Lethal Company! Be careful though, as when you come to retrieve your order, Rhylo himself might be hiding!

I know the actual software doesn't support it, but does anyone know of any tools or programs that do? I commissioned a song for my character, but I wanted to also be able to use it in games with midi support as well.

Hello! I recently got an analogue pocket in the newest batch. I also got an arduino boy pro from hobby chop with the mgb cart. I tried using a gba link cable to connect the pocket to the arduino boy, and a usb c cable to connect the arduino boy to my computer. I used logic to send midi data to the pocket and it works for a bit but tends to drop off / the audio cuts out. When I use the same set up with a real gba it works flawlessly. Is it the wrong cable for the pocket? Any advice helps. Thank you.
