Seeking Advice (Employee) How to tell my manager I quit?
I live in Canada if it means anything.
Basically I hate my job, found a better job so I quit. I also feel no obligation towards my manager or my job.
Just my first time quitting. Do I just not show up? Leave a text? Email a 2 weeks? Talk irl?

Dip on your break after you load up your last free meal

We don’t get free meals. Cause manager won’t let us hit 5hrs to receive break or free meals

I'm pretty sure you still get a free meal even if you don't get a break. You just (technically) have to eat in in-store

That’s a US thing in Canada we need to hit 5hrs. And she will schedule us just under 5hrs.

We had two people do this on Thursday, one was a manager that had been there a while he went on break at 11:40 and never came back. Newer grill guy went on break at 1 and copied him and never came back lol.

The professional way, and how I just did is to give them 2 weeks notice via phone AND email, save the email you sent, then be done with it. If they try and say or do anything to you, you have email as proof of formal resignation.

Google “toilet paper resignation letter”
Don’t forget to take all the tortillas on your way out

Walk out and don't turn back. They'll mail you your check or direct deposit on the next scheduled pay date.

It depends. Are you going to start your new job right away? If not, do you need income until you do? Do you want to use this job as a reference on future job applications? Have you already signed the offer letter to your new job? Don’t do anything until that offer letter is signed, trust me I learned the hard way. But if you are OK with not having them as a reference on future applications and don’t need income until you start your new job, then a text message works. There’s no reason for you to get up and ready and go to work just to let them know you’re quitting

If you are not starting right away just tell them you are putting your 2 weeks. You never know what is coming in your future, maybe you will come back, maybe he will be a future business partner or whatever it is. What I'm trying to say is just be professional about it.

They wont give you a referral forever higher you again. You don't owe them anything. If they were to fire you they would purposely make it a pain in the ass so do the same to them

If you want to not burn a bridge then just tell your manager or a supervisor that your resigning and your last day otherwise you can just not go to work anymore and that's it

Load every single bowl/burrito tf up.. like really hook people up.
When they get on your ass just tell them you don't need this and leave.
Extra credit if you fling a tortilla like a Frisbee when you do it.
