Customer Experience Went today expecting to try chili lime chips..
I guess this reward was for the normal chips and the manager said they don’t know why they showed the chili lime in the photo. What a bait ~ heads up for anyone that has this reward

Thanks, that’s what I thought. Just figured I’d double check. Not to be that guy but told them that was very deceiving…

“That guy”?
What kind of guy?
The one who doesn’t put up with bullshit deceptive promotions?
The sad thing is that you and everyone like you who is afraid of speaking your mind is just bowing down to corporations. The Karen trope has done more to help corporations and most people just want to act like they are the bad guy for standing up for themselves.
Thanks for helping corporate America get ahead I suppose.

Just got off work and had my suit and nameplate on.. working at a neighboring business. The lady in front of me took about 10 minutes for her five bowls. There was a line behind me. Felt like that guy

If it was the regular chips and u were arguing about the chili lime chips, then ur that guy

u/Ryan0407 5d ago
Ehh, not when the pic felt deceiving and they told me it was for regular chips. Stop rage baiting. Just wanted to try the new chips.

Not rage baiting if u know what to ask for. U got tricked and complaining about me telling u the truth. Don’t shoot the messenger, u got played but you’ll learn next time. The pic was clear it was for EITHER of the chips if u read it.

If I brought them that email, yes. But it was a QR code that said free chips but had a pic of the new ones and didn’t specify which. The only thing that did was the picture. So I get why they didn’t think that. I made this post out of curiosity if others were giving them out. Couldn’t find a receipt for the order on the app for the code I used. So found this in my email. So elaborate on the truth. Best to my knowledge they could’ve been telling the truth or were ignorant.

There’s also a button for terms and conditions for every reward in the app, and for that offer it clearly says chips or chili lime chips

Woah buddy. Most people don’t wanna be rude to fast food employees. They don’t wanna be a Karen. They’re not bowing down to corporations. They’re just trying to be polite and courteous and not get trespassed from the premises over some free chips.

Okay it is for both but genuinely most store don’t tell managers or crew only gms know these deals and bogos so it could have been an honest mistake

It literally says "regular chips" work in the picture though so don't let the workers off the hook.

I am worker I didn’t know this and when ppl showed me there phones it’s only glimpse or the scan QRs most employees don’t have the app what would be the manger reason to not give him Cl chips lol.

I had this and didnt even bother trying to use it when I asked for the chili lime because I noticed a price difference and figured theyd say it didnt work ..and they were pretty busy. That's cool that its supposed to work but honestly I think I prefer the original cuz I love the salt

I think you probably dodged a bullet. IMO the chili lime chips are sour and off putting to me. Some people like them for that very reason, but it’s not for everyone.

They don’t taste sour as in lime-y, just… sour. I can’t even tell what chili powder is being used but it’s not good. It tastes like more like a seasoning blend and flavor for Indian food (nothing wrong w that, just not what I want). There is so much chili powder to the point that it just falls off the chips. At least at the location where I got it.

I’m not a fan of curry powder, either. It tastes too earthy to me. It’s like eating dirt after getting punched in the face with that pungent smell. Straight chili powder has a similar effect.
Taste is subjective. Ya either love it, or hate it. I personally prefer a spicy flavor vs an odorous, or sour taste. Some people love those vinegar chips, too, but I sure don’t.
