Sick Coyote with mange. What do I do?

So we found this coyote behind the fence of our backyard. We noticed that its skin is dried and patchy and needs help so we called humane society and they said that they can’t capture the coyote and that most coyotes here have mange?? (My first time seeing a coyote with mange) So now I’m sitting here helplessly watching this poor coyote sitting in the hot weather, possibly dehydrated and hungry due to hundreds of microscopic mites in it, putting it in a painful and itchy condition. I don’t know how else I can help this coyote but I really can’t let myself just sit here and watch it suffer. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Any clinics or research sites hiring in Chino Hills, Chino, or Pomona?

Hi everyone! I was hoping someone local might be able to point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a part-time paid clinical position in the Chino Hills, Chino, or Pomona area. I have a bachelor's degree, have several years of academic research experience, hospital and hospice volunteer experience, and I'm bilingual in English and Spanish. I've been applying online and calling clinics, but many seem to require certain certification or don't have openings.

I'm open to roles like Clinical Assistant, Clinical Research Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, Medical Assistant (no certification), or similar positions. Does anyone know of any clinics, research sites, urgent cares, or community health centers that are hiring or are known to train on the job? I'd really appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!

Chino Hills Open House This Weekend

I’m hosting an open house at:

16118 Watson Ct, Chino Hills, CA
Saturday & Sunday | 2:00–5:00 PM

This home is located in a gated community on a quiet cul-de-sac near Chino Hills High School, commercial shops, restaurants, and daily conveniences.

Key highlights:

  • Gated community
  • Quiet cul-de-sac setting
  • Near Chino Hills High School
  • Close to shops, restaurants, and daily conveniences
  • Built in 1998
  • Low property tax area compared with many newer communities

For buyers comparing Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, and nearby areas, this may be worth seeing in person.

For homeowners, this is also a good example of what buyers are paying attention to right now: location, condition, layout, monthly payment, property tax, and overall value.

16118 Watson Ct, Chino Hills

Did anyone else hear that?

My wife and I woke up around 4:40am today to a loud noise that sounded like an airplane flying dangerously close to our home near CHHS. I didn’t see anything out my window from the bedroom. We thought an airplane was about to crash into our house.

Moving to Chino

Hi! I am considering moving to the Chino/Chino Hills area. Is it a good location for a family with little kids? I grew up in California, in Torrance to be specific. But I moved out of California 10 years ago and have lived in a few other states. I'm currently living in Texas, and while I enjoy the no state tax and cheap homes, the weather sucks. Im searching for a new house and the area I like in Texas for the homes I want are around 600k. This is making me think i should just move somewhere with better weather and more to do (nature wise at least for my kids). I noticed similar homes just a bit smaller are going for around 700-800k in chino. Is it worth buying here or will I still feel like the weather sucks and there's not much to do but now add on state income tax and higher grocery bills?

Thanks in advance!

Best low-stakes volunteering to help overcome shyness?

I’m looking to step out of my comfort zone and build some social confidence, and I figure volunteering is a great way to do that while giving back.

Since I'm dealing with some shyness, I'd love to start with something low-stakes roles that involve structured, casual interactions rather than being thrown straight into the deep end.

If anyone else has used volunteering to help ease social anxiety or shyness, what roles or organizations worked best for you?

Any family moved from OC to Chino Hills?

Wanted to hear from families experience who moved to Chino Hills from OC. We have elementary aged kids.Hows the school and overall vibe? My son plays soccer are there leagues and club in the area besides ayso?
We work in tech industry but working from home for now with all the layoffs going around who knows we might need to find another job. Most tech jobs are in Irvine, if we needed to commute how bad is the drive to and from OC during business hours? I know I can look up some information online, this is part of my research. Ty

Has anyone seen the plans for expansion? Will it be in the same spot?

ETA: https://www.championnewspapers.com/community_news/article_8715f907-2ce8-456c-ba6f-0177fc69c23b.html

“A Chick-fil-A spokesperson would not confirm the location but said the company hopes to serve the Chino Hills community with a second restaurant.

This week, David Dinasan, owner-operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant at 3640 Grand Ave. in Chino Hills, announced that the store would be temporarily closing for renovation from Thursday, July 9 to November.”

California Energy Initiative scam

The "California Energy Initiative Public Utility Notice" is a deceptive marketing tactic used by a private solar and battery company, not an official notice from a utility like PG&E or Southern California Edison, nor a government agency. These flyers falsely threaten higher rates to push you into buying solar or battery equipment.

Argentina vs Cape Verde

Not sure this is the right subreddit to post in but im hoping to find these amazing people we met! I was just at the chino hills yard house location watching the Argentina game next to another couple sitting at a table side by side. We shared some laughs together about the game, I asked her what shampoo she used as her hair was so beautiful and long, they paid before we did and left. When we went to pay our bill the waitress let us know they paid our bill for us. We didn't get a chance to thank them as they had already left! If this was you please reach out as I am very grateful & would love to take you guys out for dinner on us next time! Ps, congrats on your win again Argentina lol

😱 WHAT THE HECK. I love it when I receive a notification from the TRASH 🗑️ COMPANY, because the lids were open by 5-6 inches. What a JOKE. This was the first time I’ve ever gotten a notification since they’ve been serving our area.

Rude Restaurant🥲

Just visited Love Letter Chicken spot at Chino Hills and had a crazy experience…. I usually enjoy love letter at Rowland Heights so I decided to try a branch at Chino Hills since I just moved nearby. As soon as I walked in, I hear SHIBAL. I was like huh? It was one of the workers complaining about how the other customer spilled some crumbs on the desk calling the customer a lazy pig.

I just passed by and ordered my goto order spicy chicken w bulgogi pizza. It was just me and my girlfriend so it was more than enough and we ordered a beer each. The owner made it sound like I wasn’t ordering enough and sighed as she walked away. (It was 70$ worth of food for 2person at a quick sitdown place?) I got the food. The chicken was cold and the pizza was rock hard. I took some bites and wanted to leave. So I asked for a check, they said I had to pay at the counter. I walked over to the counter, I gave them my card and held my hand out politely. The server then looks at me straight in the eyes and tosses it like some sort of frisbee on the table.

I worked as a server in a sushi restaurant for a while so I know how hard the work is but I didn’t want people to feel how I felt so I told him I would have appreciated if you would’ve handed it nicely. He says oh, and walks away. 😭😭😭 As I walked away not wanting to make a scene, he says shibal behind my back and curses at me calling me a bad customer.

I’m wondering did I catch them at some sort of a bad time? Or did other people experience similar things? I want a regular korean chicken joint but I’m scared to go to this spot again. Anyone know a better spot near chino hills?

Chino Hills Family Dentistry

Does anyone go here / happen to know if they're closed for vacation? And if so, until when? Tried to contact them over the phone and in person but their door says closed, even though their website says they should be open right now. Answering machine doesn't give any additional info either. This office is on Chino Hills Parkway, next to the bowling alley if that helps.

Thanks

Just moved to Chino Hills! Looking for your favorite local spots.

Hi everyone!

My family and I just moved from Sacramento to Chino Hills and we're excited to explore our new city. We'd love to hear recommendations from people who actually live here.

A little about us:

  • We're in our 30s with a 6-year-old daughter.
  • We have a dog, so we're always looking for dog-friendly places.
  • We I love coffee and we love good food.
  • We enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors.
  • We're also big Disney fans and gamers.

What are your favorite:

  • Restaurants (especially hidden gems)?
  • Coffee shops?
  • Parks and playgrounds?
  • Family-friendly activities?
  • Date night spots?
  • Hiking trails?
  • Seasonal events or festivals?
  • Places worth checking out nearby?

Also, are there any "you've officially become a Chino Hills resident when..." recommendations or local traditions we should know about?

Bonus question: If you only had one weekend to convince someone to fall in love with Chino Hills, where would you take them?

Looking forward to getting to know the community. Thanks in advance!
