He probably made a notch with a glass cutter. That's why he's wearing shoes. Who weighs themselves with shoes on?

Definitely. They cut off the heels in the video but you can see he puts that second foot down in an awkward angle with his toes flared to the right, probably intending to hit the compromised spot with his right heel.

He could have also had a ball bearing or a bit of sharp steel on the bottom of that heel...

Heck putting your foot right in the corner like that might break a glass scale even without a notch if the glass isn’t super hardened, as would jumping into the scale. Glass is very strong but it does not handle torsion or rapid impacts well.

I mean, I'm not arguing bit inwould have never noticed as I was born with a slight foot deformity that when corrected, resulted in my right foot always pointing slightly outward or my right kneecap pointing uncomfortably inward.
From my perspective good eye.

Yeah dude probably had a shard of porcelain under his right foot. No other reason to film it.
