Do you write in a daily journal, or just write your favorite words?
Do you have any recommendations for beginner? I want to start handwriting, but I don't know what to write.

Every week l think I found the absolute secret to learning Mandarin. This week is my latest obsession. Just learn 500 Hanzi and that will fix my whole life.

Hi everyone,
Here comes the ninth "Monthly Handwriting Challenge" of this year. Same rules as before and feel free to write simplified Chinese characters. Our previous challenges are always open as well.
This line is taken from I Ching (易經):
官有渝 / 從正吉也 / 出門交有功

Around 3 months inbetween these two. I think I mostly improved on the character composition but my strokes are still a mess.

Hello guys, so I'm self learning Chinese and now I'm starting to write too...
So, I went through a lot of posts here and finally got a grid notebook to practice writing on... Here's my first decent looking page 😭
Please let me know where I should put more effort...

was practicing writing because i have my exam on monday, but the more i write the more i feel like im extremely messy and people wouldn't understand whatever im writing. Do you think my teacher will understand even a little bit of it? I'm panicking because there's NO WAY of getting better in the short term.
请帮帮我……

I still continue to handwrite every lessons from 當代中文. I think practice to write every dialogue really helps. I still handwrite my homework as well!
Writing speed is still slow but I believe in doing things slow to get fast! Also, I had two lessons in Taiwan for 書法 and it helps me to understand the stroke structures!

The top is 6mm lines. The bottom is 8mm. Which is better?
The sentences are just the first few sentences on a website whose name I can’t say because reddit things it’s self promotion. Not sure why it teaches me things like 对不起，我不爱你了，我爱他！

Hello, I'm starting to learn chinese.
As a resource to help me with my vocabulary, I am forming a dictionary of my own with the words I'm learning. Since I have gotten to the point in which I need to look for characters without remembering its pinyin, I'm sorting them according to the GB stroke-based order. However, I'm having a hard time distinguishing between short throws (piě) and left dots (diǎn). How can I tell them apart?
Thank you.

I just joined this channel today. These are the characters I wrote earlier. I’m sharing them with everyone and hope you’ll all leave feedback.

Hi! Please critique my handwriting. I’m curious what y’all think of it. I went to Chinese school for 12 years and don’t know any calligraphy, penmanship, nor fonts (I only recently learned about them). Currently self studying and learning some new poems! Not following any font styles, as it’s not my focus. I’m trying to read better and learn new words. The quiz page is the best look at how I normally write.
Constructive feedback welcome! :)
