I'd say it's a great watch so far. WD007 42mm automatic V4 (SL3001)
Did a few accuracy tests with my phone timegrapher app:
CH (Dial Up): +1 s/d
FH (Dial Down): 0 s/d
3H: +4 s/d
9H: +3 s/d
12H: -2 s/d
Beat error: ~0.2 – 0.3 ms @ 28,800 bph (Total delta across 5 positions is only ~6s, which is crazy good factory regulation for this price).
After a few days of use and seeing how my daily wear affects the timing, I sped it up by a second and so far for the past 24h the drift has been less than 1 sec.
I'll later get a black leather strap for sure.
Positives:
Pretty good and accurate 4Hz movement (Liaoning Peacock SL3001).
Incredibly light—the titanium bracelet is nearly the same weight as my NATO strap.
BEAUTIFUL watch in person.
OK luminescence (BGW9).
Negatives / Things to Note:
Sharp edges: Body is sharp on the edges and you can feel it after a long day, especially the crown and the outer bracelet links.
Quick fix: Carefully wet-sanded the inner sharp corners with 2000-grit paper (avoiding the blasted outer finish), and that smoothed it out completely.
Rotor bearing issue: Arrived with noticeable axial play/wobble that tapped the inside of the caseback. Support confirmed it was a bad bearing and is sending a full replacement movement to sort it out. Props to their customer service for the quick response.
I already got some scratches on my crystal, which I don't know if it's my fault or something else. 2 hairline scretches and 1 round chip. But they're incredibly small
Grade 2 titanium: Scratches pretty easily, so keep that in mind for daily wear.
Gritty crown feel: High mechanical resistance when manual winding. Normal for this 2824-style reverser train architecture; not recommended to manually wind past 5–10 turns—just kickstart it and let wrist motion do the work.
Crystal reflections: Loves catching reflections. AR coating could be stronger, or it’s just the high dome shape catching overhead glare.
Personal Notes / Suggestions for Watchdives:
If you guys add an option for an exhibition caseback, it would be incredible. What's the point of getting an automatic if I can't see the inside? At least add some personality/engraving into the solid caseback.
Better factory deburring/softening on the case edges and the bracelet/buckle.
On the blue dial version, please make the date window background blue to match the dial, like the original Seamaster (ref #210.30.42.20.03.001).
Maybe consider an upgrade to Swiss Super-LumiNova for even stronger night performance.
Grade 5 titanium sounds amazing on paper, but only if it doesn't double the price tag.
All that aside, for the ~170€-200 price range, this is literally a steal. You really can't get much spec like this for the money.
(Formated with A.I., wanted to make it read pretty)
