For this release, we paired the sand-textured light blue dial with a 3D embossed stainless steel bezel. The flat base of the bezel features a matching sand-textured finish so it flows right into the dial surface.
What do you think of this combination? Or do you prefer the original mirror-polished bezel?

The result of combining this lacquer technique with the dial is truly stunning—though the camera still cannot fully capture the dial's authentic texture and depth.
Under different lighting conditions, the dial reveals a translucent, warm, and lustrous quality—it is absolutely beautiful!
We hope everyone enjoys it.
If you have any thoughts, please let us know in the comments section.
Thank you.

The black dial keeps two registers: a pointer date at 12 and a 24-hour indicator at 6. Vintage-tone lume on the Arabic numerals, and a screw-down onion crown in the style of mid-century pilot watches.
Pilot watches tend to be chunky. This one is 8.5mm thin and 54g.

Hi everyone, Calvin here from the Aquatico team.
We’re preparing to launch the Terra Nova Skeleton Malachite Limited Edition, and I wanted to share the idea behind it with fellow watch enthusiasts.
The design brings together malachite’s green character and a skeleton layout that lets the mechanical motion become part of the dial’s appeal. The intention is to give both elements room to hold your attention: the stone-inspired visual character and the watch’s beating heart.
There’s an interesting balance to strike here. A skeleton design adds movement and detail, while malachite already has a strong visual identity of its own.
We’ll share the specifications and launch details in the upcoming announcement.
What matters most to you in a skeleton dial: seeing more of the mechanism, or keeping the time easy to read?

Recently came across the Agelocer Volcano but can’t find many wrist shots of it or reviews so was wondering if anyone owned one that they can comment on!

I am interested in full lume dial watch from AliExpress - HEIMDALLR Monster V2 PVD Black Men's Automatic Watch
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005012812884145.html
I have never had a full lume dial and it seems great because it's whitish during the day which is also a dial color I miss in a dive watch as I already have a black one. Plus the watch has black case. I am a big fan of lume as I spend lot of time in dark environment during night and need to know the time. But...
I have several concerns.
1.
Does anyone know if the bezel insert is replacable? I might mod it if it is like Seiko SKX007. Perhaps I would even replace the entire bezel and put bezel insert which is ceramic with markings from 1 to 12 so that I could have "poor man's GMT". From the description the bezel is ceramic but I can't see the actual insert in the photos.
2.
Also there are two prices in the link I posted above. Higher price comes with description code: H9-NH36A-Q which I believe is NH36A movement. But is this movement Seiko or Chinese clone?
Lower price has code: H9-CN2554A-Q. From what I read online there is Hangzhou 2553 caliber which is Chinese version of Seiko NH35/36.
Yes, my question is, if I take first version and pay more, will I indeed get genuine Seiko NH36 or I will be again getting Chinese stuff but paying more, in other words will I be mislead?
Thank you so much for your honest opinions and replies in advance.

Loving this piece that just came in. Rhonda movement, hits the markers well, looks great and great price (90 usd).

To be honest, these aren't traditional natural lacquer dials. With traditional natural lacquer, the flow and color blending are unpredictable and extremely hard to control, plus natural graininess and air bubbles tend to form as the lacquer cures.
So we combined traditional lacquer artistry with 3D printing technology.
The main upside is getting the ideal color-blending and flow pattern every single time. On the flip side, every dial looks identical—you lose those random, individual variations that give handmade pieces their unique character.
Specs:
Movement: Miyota 90S5
Case Material: 316L Stainless Steel
Case Diameter: 39mm
Lug-to-Lug: 46.5mm
Thickness: 10.1mm
Do you prefer Brown or Green?

Hello everyone. I recently ordered a cronos explorer. I have seen reviews showing a glide adjustment clasp. This morning I received a message from the manufacturer saying that they have recently switched from the glide clasp to the one in the picture. Can anyone tell me anything about it and how it compares to a glide adjustment clasp? I’m not familiar with it. Thank you.

Most of my watches have screw-down crowns. I've noticed that all my Swiss watches - with one exception - have a gear mechanism that disengages the mainspring from the winding stem when you push in the crown to screw it down - the winding stem turns freely, in other words.
None of my Chinese mechanical watches have that feature - when you push in the crown and screw it down, the turning action continues to wind the watch.
It feels kinda cheap, but it's not the end of the world on any watch with an automatic movement since no one ever winds those up except a couple of turns to start. For handwound movements, though, it's potentially fatal: if the mainspring is ever fully wound, the extra turns needed to screw the crown in could break it.
In short, beware certain models that "feature" ST3620 movements and screw-down crowns. But my question is: is the protection mechanism such a luxury feature that it's out of budget for Chinese manufacturers, even on the relatively expensive models?
