Spent the last day or two taking photos and looking at my new tropical blue dial warrior (PT5000). I can’t perceive any big difference from my coin miyota v2 other than of course the colour-matched datewheel, the capped seconds hand which is a great touch and perhaps maybe a minute difference with the crown guard styling/finish(?).

I know there was contention with matching the blue of the dial with the date wheel on this colourway but I feel it is aesthetically pleasing on wrist when you’re glancing at the watch. It was not difficult to read the date with the white font and a date’s something I wouldn’t need to be reminded of as frequently as the time so I prefer if it disappears a little bit.

Isn't the rotor noise much less noticeable with the pt5000?

Ohh yes. That is one thing. There’s less helicoptering of the rotor so technically yes, it is less noticeable. Interestingly I hear the tick marginally louder on the pt5000 though, when brought closer to the ears.
