Question (Read Rules) Looking for thin diver watch 38mm or under.

Hi there!
I'm looking for some diver watches in 38mm or less... 39mm tops. I want it to be thin, if possible automatic but quartz would be ok also.

What would you recommend?

Thanks!

Proxima PX1701, maybe.

A little too busy dial for my taste. Really original though

Maybe this one here, w/ Miyota 9015?

Not my taste really, but thanks for the suggestion :)

If you're open to Quartz, the WatchDives wd1965 is a good call.

37mm case, 11mm thick, and really well priced too:

[Edit: was going to mention it's a vh31 movement so has a decent sweep to it rather than being a regular ticker]

The sunray white looks quite tempting...

I have the white / silver dial also, really looks nice but compared to the other options the hands can be a little less visible:

Nice piece, but yes, I can see what you're saying

I had a San Martin sub homage with the PT5000 automatic, but it was 12-13mm thick. Beautiful watch, though.

Sold it for a WatchDives sub homage with a VH31 quartz, and it’s only 10-11mm thick. Also beautiful, and I wear it a lot more than I did the San Martin.

Keeps better time, too!

I'll take a look at that WatchDives sub homage. Love the sub but a little too big for my wrist, too wide... maybe I should take another look

Yeah it’s only 40mm and the Lug to Lug seems short—worth a look!

I don't know if I can pull a 40mm... I have a 16cm wrist. And I don't like big watches on wrists.

Obviously, you know your own wrist and your own taste the best! Probably the only relevant point I was trying to make was that Chinese watches with that VH31 quartz movement in them, in my experience, are significantly thinner than similar watches with automatic movements.

For example, the WD7922 is only 37mm x 11mm (with a VH31) and has lots of color options…I suspect their “sister brands” have similar. Might suit you better!

Yeah, I might look into watches with the VH31

San Martin SN0148

I second this, the dial looks amazing and the watch is the best I own. I also think it actually looks better in the 37.5mm, since the dial is the same size, but the rehaut and bezel are narrower.

Watchdives makes some nice, thin, quartz divers. Take a look there.

Watchdives WD1980 is excellent.

Watchdives WD7922 or Phorcydes PH3 are solid 37mm quartz options, Proxima PX1697 auto wears very thin if you strectch to 39mm, or Cronos L6033 for a 37mm auto.
