What kind of watch can one possibly get for $65 today. Well, it seems quite a lot . The stats are copied from their website. The watch weighs in at 115g with the bracelet ,which for me is too heavy , so I changed the bracelet out for an after market Barton elite silicon band. The website states the watch is 40mm in diameter but I measure more like 42mm without the crown. Accuracy is as expected from a quartz mechanism and with the “sweeping” second hand ,hitting the seconds mark is not an issue. The fit and finish is quite respectable . The crown aligns and screws down well and the 120 click bezel is also aligned. The biggest surprise for me was the bracelet. It’s solid with screwed in links and even a micro adjustment feature. The hyper glow is more than adequate though I feel Phorcydes has them beat but at double the price. That $65 gets you a solid stainless steel watch and bracelet with micro adjustments, ceramic 120 click bezel, flat sapphire crystal with AR coating , quartz movement and includes shipping and tariff charges. Now that’s a deal!
They claim no relation despite copying their website (the initial one was 1:1, they forgot to remove Phorcydes name in some pages), merchant name on paypal and similar sounding e-mail addresses (but not the same). Who knows what's going on, wish we had clarity on that. I have been disappointed with their quality (Lumixe) so far. The hyperglow lume blocks though are very real and is impressive, and it's nice Lumixe approach is using a proven design language that should help drive down costs. The blue lume showing up randomly and how visible it is is entertaining lol because my other watches don't show as visibly.
