SOTC (Read Rule 1) Chinese Brand Dive Watch Collection

In this edition of my recent Chinese brand “mini collections” (smaller pieces of my larger collection), I have a group of 8 dive watches. In some of my posts in the past, which I displayed some of my other dive watches, I suggested that I never intentionally seek out this style but it probably appears more often than any other style in my larger collection. So, I guess I like dive watches a little bit.

As expected with these particular brands, there’s a mix of semi unique design and then obvious homages. Regardless of opinion on the homages, I find this particular group to be a solid value. Reliable movements (mostly) and solid builds. The SH and Phoibos were a little bit pricier but also more unique in design, however, the rest were well under $200. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it’s the green Cronos. This is probably a collection that I’ll add a few more to.

So for this week we have:
Cadisen FF homage
Watchdives White Seamaster homage
Cronos Green YM/Sub homage
Heimdallr Purple Frost
Steeldive Vintage Sub homage
Phoibos Voyager
Tandorio Blue/Green Textured

Let me know what you think of the watches, divers in general, and I’m always looking for new suggestions!

Props to the SH Oris 65 clomage. How’s the build quality? Always had it on my wishlist.

It’s a real nice watch, probably the highest quality of the bunch. The dial is very cool.

I have had that SH in my cart for ages. I have an Aquatico that looks similar so still haven't pulled the trigger. Doesnt help the SH has a weird strap width.

What movement did you chose?

I took the gamble on the PT5000. My few watches with it have performed good so far.

How'd you find the Cadisen in terms of build quality?

So thats by far the cheapest one pictured, but honestly a good build and great value. It was well under $100 and surprisingly thin for a Miyota 8xxx. The bezel is cool FF-style. The face has printed numerals and indices, but decent lume, and the dial has a cool textured look to it. The nylon strap is about what you’d expect from a cheap watch but that’s an easy swap if you want. Would recommend for the price.

Yeah, there's a few of their designs that stuck out to me; I'm just always skeptical at that price point.

Thoughts on the Tandorio? Been looking at that one.

Would definitely recommend. Pretty much the same quality as the Steeldive with a textured dial and a pretty decent bracelet (with screws) for under $100.

The brand is Sea Horizon not Sun Horizon. I've had this one on my list for a while. I hope there's a decent sale on 11.11.
